Online Safety Training

Online Safety Training

Just because your staff are working from home or are under other COVID restrictions doesn’t mean you cannot provide important and cost effective training and information.

The WHS Act HELP online presentations are designed to  provide staff at all levels with the necessary knowledge to help you manage your WHS obligations.

Choose one or more of the comprehensive 4 hour presentations developed for general audiences (see the overview of the content of these below) or contact us to customise the courses specifically for your business (at no extra cost)

And with our LOCKDOWN discount (20% off the standard cost) or using the GROUP booking discount (40% off the standard cost), the opportunity to improve your organisation’s  safety management knowledge has never been more affordable

Once registered, participants get an Information Pack that includes examples of documents discussed (e.g. Improvement Notice, Prohibition Notice) plus various tools and templates in WORD or EXCEL format that can be applied later (e.g. Machinery Assessment, Chemical Assessment, Risk Register Template).

All participants receive a Certificate of Attendance

How to use our Online Training Service

We have set up our online training options a bit differently to many alternatives available.

Firstly, unless you choose an open public presentation (that’s where participants can come from anywhere in Australia), YOU can choose any starting time up to 1 PM of the Time Zone in your State or Territory.

The open public courses start at 12:30 Sydney time as that allows all participants, wherever they are in Australia, to attend during traditional core business hours.

There are no minimum numbers for our presentations (although having several people can generate more discussion). If you only have one or two people to attend, that’s fine. Of course, if you can gather 5 or more participants, you can use the Group Booking Discount available (40% off the Standard price).

We do NOT dictate the day of the presentation. We do ask you to give us THREE alternative dates (in the order of your preferred days) so we can reschedule our commitments (if needed). In the unlikely event that none of the dates are manageable, we will always strive to offer a mutually agreeable solution.

Once we have agreed on a date, we send you an invoice together with a request for the names and email addresses of the intended participants. If a registered participant cannot attend for any reason, you can substitute someone else for that presentation, have the person placed on a waiting list for a similar course (or even a different one) in the future or get a refund (obviously subject to the minimum number conditions if you received a Group Booking Discount).

If you want any more information, give us a call on 1300 976 804 or email us via the Contact Us page of this site.

If you would like to book a presentation, simply fill in the Online Training Form and email it back to us at contact@whsacthelp.com.au

On the 25th October 2016, 4 people lost their lives when the raft they were in overturned on the Thunder River Rapid Ride at Dreamworld and Queensland’s Gold Coast. This presentation examines the Coroner’s Report into that tragedy, using archival TV footage and print media to highlight the failures in safety risk management that lead to that catastrophic outcome.

This presentation combines, in practical terms, information on officer due diligence obligations and the results of failing to have a comprehensive risk management system.
